Mark found his passion for project management and development when he started to work for the family business Piggott and Whitfield over 17 years ago. Established well over 100 years ago, Piggott and Whitfield are a distinguished building services company in the UK. The firm has a rich history and is renowned for its extensive experience and expertise in the industry.

Mark took over as chairman from his father at the beginning of 2023, becoming the fourth generation to lead the company. This generational transition speaks to the family’s commitment and enduring legacy within the business.

In 2013, Mark founded Cameron Pearson, a prestigious estate agency based in Knightsbridge, which marked his entry into overseeing extensive development projects for discerning clients in exclusive neighbourhoods like Knightsbridge, Kensington, and Mayfair.

This venture eventually evolved into the establishment of Aquilo Developments in 2020. Since its inception, Aquilo Developments has overseen projects valued at over £50M. The true strength lies in the cohesive team, with a decade of collaboration, enabling effective project management. Collaborating with investors and developers, Aquilo Developments aids in achieving their objectives and ensuring a seamless development process. The dedicated in-house team manages all aspects of the project, starting from identifying prime development opportunities in the lively city of London, to providing a turn- key service.

Nicolas is the founder of HWO architecture and our authority on all things architecture, design and planning. A leading voice on London’s housing crisis, he’s designed landmark buildings in the UK, US and Asia. Now, he brings this experience to the negotiating table, working closely with clients to develop profitable, sociable residential schemes that see beyond the blind spots of planning regulation.
